The Manager of the Office of the National Chairman (ONC), Hajat Hadijah Namyalo Uzeiye, has hit back at her critics by posting a bank statement on Monday, aiming to justify her income and wealth after public outrage over the luxury car she gave her five‑year‑old son.
Namyalo has faced heavy criticism after gifting her son a brand‑new Jetour T1 at a lavish birthday party on Sunday, a gesture that triggered intense discussion on social media about money, leadership, and image.
In a response shared via her official @ChiefMuzzukulu account on X, Namyalo released what she said was a bank statement from before she took up her ONC position, insisting that she was already financially stable before joining the current administration.
“I had my bread buttered already. Not a church mouse like most of you. Proof is the child of truth. My bank statement before I joined ONC,” she wrote, directing her comments at Mwesigye Franks, who had criticized her in several posts on Sunday evening.
